Rescue – Sunday 6 December 2015

Both RNLI lifeboats from Redcar were tasked just after 3pm on Sunday 6 December 2015 after a member of the public telephoned UK Coastguard to report an adult and child attempting to wade to safety after getting cut off by the tide at Huntcliff, Saltburn.

Following a sea and shore search by the lifeboats and after further enquiries by UK Coastguard, the incident was closed. It is believe the adult and child had safely made their way back to Saltburn and had left the scene, unaware of the search for them.
