Rescue – Saturday 2 April 2016

The Redcar RNLI lifeboat was tasked just after 9.30pm on Saturday 2 April 2016 when Cleveland Police requested assistance with an incident involving a man on the wrong side of the railings on Saltburn pier. The lifeboat stood by until a police negotiator persuaded the man to move away from danger.

Life-long supporter of Redcar lifeboats passes away

Vera Robinson MBE, one of the RNLI’s oldest fundraisers, has passed away at the age of 101. Vera had been raising funds for the Redcar RNLI lifeboat station since the age of 16. She was president of the Redcar Lifeboat Ladies Guild, and attended the ladies guild annual general meeting in May this year. She began collecting funds for the […]
