Rescue – Sunday 11 October 2015

Both lifeboats were launched just after 11.30pm after UK Coastguard received a 999 call reporting a woman in the sea at Marske. Coastguard officers found the woman laid on the water’s edge and gave first aid until ambulances arrived. The woman was taken to James Cook University Hospital.

The Redcar RNLI lifeboat Leicester Challenge III was launched just after 4.30pm on Sunday 4 October 2015 after a pleasure boat with four adults and a child broke down approximately 1 mile north east of the lifeboat station. The disabled craft was towed to safety at Hartlepool marina.

The Atlantic 85 lifeboat Leicester Challenge III launched at 1.05am on Tuesday 15 September 2015 to standby in the River Tees while police and fire brigade dealt with a person at risk of harm near the Middlesbrough Football Club Riverside Stadium. The lifeboat was stood down after approximately 30 minutes when the incident was brought to a close.
