Vera Robinson MBE, one of the RNLI’s oldest fundraisers, has passed away at the age of 101. Vera had been raising funds for the Redcar RNLI lifeboat station since the age of 16. Rescue - Monday 13 July 2015

At 4.08pm on Monday 13 July 2015 the Redcar RNLI lifeboat Leicester Challenge III was launched to assist other emergency services dealing with an incident involving a distressed male on the Transporter Bridge, Middlesbrough. The lifeboat was stood down at 5.04pm after the incident was brought to a successful conclusion.

The Atlantic 85 class lifeboat Leicester Challenge III launched ay 13:42 on Friday 3 July 2015 after UK Coastguard received a report of a 35ft fishing boat drifting in the River Tees after it lost it’s rudder. The drifting boat, with three people on board, was taken under tow to Paddy’s Hole in the River Tees.
