Redcar RNLI is issuing a bank holiday warning about the perils of being trapped by the tide at Saltburn. Rescue - Sunday 22 May 2016

Both RNLI lifeboats were launched just before 2.30pm on Sunday 22 May 2016 after a man was reported stranded by the incoming tide at the base of Huntcliff, Saltburn. On arrival the crews found that the man had managed to swim to safety and was in the care of coastguard teams from Redcar, Staithes and Skinningrove.
