Rescue - Thursday 10 November 2016

A Mayday call from a lone sailor after his inflatable dinghy capsized sparked a call for the Redcar RNLI lifeboats on Thursday 10 November 2016.
The man was thrown into the sea after his 3-metre inflatable capsized close inshore at Redcar just before 10.30am.
The call was picked up by the UK Coastguard who alerted the volunteers of the Redcar RNLI lifeboats.
As the crews were assembling the man was found to have made his own way ashore and his craft was back on the beach near Granville Terrace, Redcar.
The lifeboats were stood down and the man was given assistance by the Redcar Coastguard Rescue Team.
