Found - after 5 years!
A canoeist who went missing nearly six years ago has been found safe and well! John Darwin was reported missing off the coast in Tees Bay on 21 March 2002. He was found safe and well in London on Saturday 2nd December 2007.

Mr Darwin's re-appearance attracted massive interest from the media and Redcar's Lifeboat Press Officer Dave Cocks was kept busy satisfying their interest in the RNLI's role in the original search for Mr Darwin in March 2002. Click here for details of the 22 March 2002 incident.
